Frequency counts at forebears.io offer an estimate of the number of the people in countries worldwide today who hold the selected surnames. Our experience is that the counts provide a good reflection of the surnames that we study. The estimates for Baldacchino and its variant forms are shown below for countries with at least 10 people who hold the Baldacchino or variant surnames.
Baldacchino is the strongly preferred spelling of the surnames, present in all of the listed countries except Cuba and the Philippines where only the variant name Baldoquin has been found. Although the Baldacchino surname originated in Sicily, the small islands of Malta hold almost double the number of Baldacchinos of any other country in the world.
